What is Batch Creating?

Batch creating is the process of creating multiple pieces of content or completing similar tasks in one sitting.

Rather than creating content or completing tasks on a day-to-day basis, batch creating allows you to work on several pieces of content or tasks all at once. This strategy can help you focus your energy and attention, and it allows you to complete work more efficiently. When you’re able to focus on one subject at a time, you aren’t draining energy making your brain recalibrate every time you hop from one subject of work to the next. If you have ADHD like me, I highly recommend figuring out when you are more creative throughout the week and then use your hyper fixation super power to focus on batch creating during that time.

How You Can Use Batch Creating to Free Up Time for Other Parts of Your Business

Batch creating is an effective way to free up time for other parts of your business. By dedicating a specific block of time to creating content or completing tasks, you can complete the work more efficiently and quickly. This frees up time in your schedule, allowing you to focus on other areas of your business that require your attention.

For example, suppose you're a social media manager for a small business. Instead of creating social media posts every day, you could spend a few hours each week creating a week's worth of content. This strategy frees up time during the rest of the week, allowing you to focus on other areas of your job.

Let’s say you’re a small business that creates a sale every Wednesday - you could batch create all the content that needs to be made for this reoccurring sale, turn it into a template, and then that would make creating content around that sale that much easier. You could end up blocking out time to batch create the email series in FloDesk for every Wednesday of the month and schedule it so the sales announcement, actual sale and sale reminders automatically go out when they are supposed to. You can then batch create and schedule the Pins and Instagram posts in Canva. Having these templates and then batch producing your content in a few hours every month or week, allows you to not only creates more time to do other things in your business, but it also create momentum for you.

Create Momentum in Business Through Batch Creating

Batch creating your content creates momentum in business. When you complete several pieces of content at once, you create a sense of momentum that can carry over into other areas of your business. This momentum can inspire you to tackle other tasks or take on new projects - for more on this read our Task Rotation Blog - to learn how inspiration can be found by doing other things. Most importantly, by creating multiple pieces of content at once, you can ensure that your content is consistent in tone and messaging. This provides movement on your audience side. On average it can take people anywhere from 7-21 times of seeing or hearing something before deciding to purchase or work with you, which means when we batch create content from a place of energy, created with a consistent tone and messaging, you are creating a sense of comfort in your audience. This comfort is sparked from recognition and repetition.

3 Things to Start Batch Creating

Batch creating is a powerful strategy that can help you save time, streamline your workflow, and give you momentum in your business. By dedicating blocks of time to creating content or completing tasks, you can be more efficient and free up time for other areas of your business. If you're looking to improve your productivity and streamline your workflow, consider implementing batch creating into your business strategy.

If you don’t know where to start, try these three areas:

  1. Emails - Whether you make one email a month, or 5 a week, batch creating your emails will help you focus on other tasks while still engaging with your subscribers and target audience. If creating multiple emails sounds scary because of the fear what to say - start with one, schedule it now, and then make a copy of it, adjust it to create a sense of originality and then schedule it again a month or two later. But if you haven’t started your email list, or don’t know where to begin - check out my Email Marketing mini-course.

  2. Batch create 1 idea into 3 different pieces of content - Have a really awesome idea for TikTok or Reel? Open up Canva, and recreate it in a text format, use a related photo or photo of you and talk about your concept in the caption. Then schedule your Instagrams to go out before and after your Reel or TikTok goes live. Now you have a video piece of content, a photo piece of content, and a text formatted piece of content that you can now post on Pinterest. If you want even more help with batch creating your content, I have a Batch Creating Mini-Course that will teach you the exact Batch Producing Steps I help my clients implement along with 3 of our favorite Batch Creating Techniques and how to use them in order to stay consistent with social media and free up more time through out your weeks and months.

  3. Batch create your days - This is something that I help my clients do in my Work Intuitively Masterclass. By creating themed days and batching the specific tasks that fall under that theme you can not only build out schedule that works for you & around your energy, you will also create synergy & synchronicity throughout your day. AKA you find your flow in one topic and you learn how to ride it with out interrupting your day with trying to switch topics or modes, making your brain relax and accomplish more in less time. It’s productivity techniques meets respecting your time and energy.
